Review: In the 3 years since the Media Centre PC was launched, Microsoft has only managed to sell 4 million Media Centre PC operating systems spread over the entire PC industry which is less than the number of Macs Apple sells in one year let alone over 3 years.

The only way MS has been able to increase the uptake recently is by not requiring Media Centre PCs to have TV tuners - oddly enough similar to the configuration that Apple has now released with Front Row. The fact of the matter is that Microsoft's attempt at the Media Centre concept has been a market failure to this date.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Apple now fairs with their somewhat different take on the subject.

Review: Dude, put the crack pipe down! On what world are Media Center PC's 50% of what is sold??
Did they ever fix the problem where using the PC while it is recording a program prevents it from recording the show properly?

Review: Well, their pace is certainly going nowhere now.
Just watch the casualties after Apple sets their sights.

Review: Apple will have to do a lot better than the iMac G5 offering if they are serious about the media center concept. I suspect few people need a built-in camera. I use my Macs for a lot of different things and communicate a lot with people via the computer but a camera is really not essential. Leave out the camera and put in more RAM or lower the price. That's my first response to this machine.

Review: "But neither the mobile devices nor the Media Center PCs have sold well."
If that is the case, why are Media Center PCs now getting 25-47% of monthly retail desktop PC sales?
They are on pace to outsell all of Apple's Mac models combined in 2005.
