Review: Been using Firefox for about a year alongside IE. Have now made it my primary browser because in my corporate environment it works better and faster. I'm just a surfer who wants a Web tool that works like a toaster. Firefox does that.

Review: If Firefox gains market share, then it will attract virus and spyware writers. Just leave the status quo as is.

Review: Memory leak problem. Install free progam "FreeRAM XP Pro" and set to run every 20 mins or so and it resolves the Firefox leak .

Review: I fear that Firefox does not have much of a future, that we are currently at its high point in terms of market share. For more see

Review: I believe the survival of Firefox largely depends on credible answers to:
(1) What is the strategy to move from merely a source of free "innovation" for IE?
(2) What prevents users from adopting Firefox as their default browser?
Part of the answers could be:
(a) Transparent built-in support for anything that is needed by current business IE users.
(b) Further innovate ease of use by ordinary users (e.g. bookmark organization etc.), and convince them to try as a simple but useful tool in addition to their precious IE.
(c) Spare the users any open source hype.

Review: I'm Tom Giles. I edited the story, and appreciate the feedback. A special thanks to UnpredictableMac, who pointed out we mistakenly associated Mitch Kapor with Lotus Notes. Of course, Kapor created Lotus 1-2-3. We've made the fix.

Review: Firefox is clutter free, and allows us to customise. I've been using Firefox for two years now. And it's shocking to look at IE and its user interface. Firefox 2 will only solidify its role in the browser market.

Review: I like the Firefox interface. However, after downloading it six months ago and keeping it updated, I still have problems with it hogging more and more memory the longer it's open. This happens on my home and work computer. Until the memory problems are fixed, I can't use it as my primary browser.
I also hope the add-ins are optional, but hope they have some good ones. Netscape used to have a decent editor and great documentation on their Web site for programmers, and I'd really love to see that continue with this project.

Review: I've used Firefox for over two years (I'm 58) and love it! My partner, 43, just gave up on IE6 and has started using it. He's a slow learner! But he's learning to love the natural feel. It just works better.
