Review: I only have recently heard of this list of money saving tips and frankly I feel the deepest sympathy for anyone who really received this list for 1 simple fact most American companies cant save themselves but look down on the employees who try to make them what they are. Without happy employees who could expect to lift out of a tough time, hiring new cost more etc... My heart and prayers go out to you all.

Review: This article, as well as a number of others, says that NWA told employees to go "dumpster diving." I see nothing in the 101 tips that uses the term "dumpster diving." So who is BusinessWeek quoting here? Themselves? Other media sources who also made it up? The "tip" was about taking something that is still useful out of the trash, not half-eaten food. It refers to the fact that in many locations, people put perfectly good items (vacuum cleaners, desks, lamps, etc) out on the curb for trash pick-up, often with "free" signs on them for passers by. Taken in that context, it's a good tip, but everyone today seems to want to think the worst of everyone else, so they take these things the wrong way and then blame others for having done so. Does anybody really believe that NWA management got together and said, "Let's tell them to go dumpster diving"? Right.

Review: It's appalling that in this day and age, in this so-called richest country in the world, a corporation would stoop so low to tell its employees to dive into dumpsters for survival. I think they should quit the airline en-masse and force it into liquidation. It's another indication of the slow decline of our society, our capitalist structure, and our own so-called American value system.

Review: How can they donate time instead of money when they're going to have to take second and third jobs to stay above the poverty line? Sheesh. Joe Hill is spinning in his grave right now.

Review: Is there sometime wrong about saving energy, money or learning how to get by with less? My income over the years has gone from 4 figures to well into 6 figures. I still air dry some clothes, am willing use something found beside the street and my kids get to change oil. So let's get over ourselves and do what it takes to survive.

Review: It is a real shame to see just how cutthroat Northwest has become. Flight attendants deserve more respect and more pay. To be quite honest its a real shame to see the former prestige of travelling by flying that airlines like Northwest take away.I only wish that airlines such as this one would not be allowed to lower the bar so greatly. FLIGHT ATTENDANTS should not have to find a second job this is ridiculous. Northwest I am not even a flight attendant by the way, but I am a 17 year old that can see the difference between an airline with prestige and an airline that is only concerned with the $. Look where your cheap ways have gotten you. Thanks for deteriorating commercial aviation. I hope that the flight attendants strike and you are forced to give them what they deserve. Isn't it enough that they work for you when really nobody really deserves to work for or fly with anything less than Qantas or British Airways? Making money by lowering the bar is never something to be proud of.

Review: The worst of these tips is to give time instead of money to religious groups. Many people I know do both already anyway and consider giving money to support the church part of their faith.
