Review: Last October I purchased a 17-inch laptop in early December. I was so frustrated trying to use it until I realized it did not accommodate my loss of eyesight. I called Dell they graciously recognized my problem and refunded my money without any wrangling.

Review: I agree. I've bought many Dell computers and have been very happy. They make good, dependable products.

Review: On the battery recall, Dell seems to be creating more problems for itself by making the checking procedure more complex than it needs to be.

Review: Everybody is doggin Dell. I have never ever had a problem with Dell computers and I buy a dozen of them every year. More than enough room for them to go wrong but they haven't. Customer service is perfect. They repaired a laptop I dropped and had it back to me within a week. Last year Apple had more flaws recorded than PCs altogether (National Vulnerability Database 2005). Two years ago Apple had two battery recalls. Who knows how many now. And they never responded to my attempts, as well. Neither did the geeks at the Apple store. They blamed me for their own battery smoking up my daughter's room. So those of you who like to single out Dell being the only one with mistakes, do your homework before you make a comment.

Review: Dude! You'd been Dell'd! Dell has always had a history of laptops going up in flames. The most notable, filmed one, was the one in the Japanese Diet press room. Who's dumb enough to buy Dell nowadays?

Review: Can Dell be trusted? There was a recall of Dell adapters during October 2004. I had registered for a replacement adapter on October 9, 2004 and received a confirmation e-mail from Dell with an Order Number. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT ADAPTER AS OF TODAY. Like the previous incident, Dell has created a nice order entry form, but will it deliver replacement batteries?

Review: You should add the number to contact so that Dell computer owners can call for their replacement batteries.
