Review: The 2006 GTO is a superb performance car. Not only does it out-muscle most of what you commonly see on the street but also it turns heads whether standing still at a light, blowing off the line, or cruising down the interstate. For the $$$, there is no better performance buy out there.

Review: If GM had made cars like this for the last 20 years, they'd still have market share.
A friend of mine bought a silver '04 It was impressive stock. It got BETTER though after he had a 3 Stainless Works exhaust installed. Every outing was a new story waiting to be told about some slack jawed, dumbfounded onlooker. It immediately gained character in bucketloads! Twisting the key unleashed this guttural, raucous, beast! This car wasn't loud, it was L O U D! Goosing the throttle just made you want to find a clear lane and try to squeeze it all the way down and HANG ON. The raw, guttural ripping sound through the X-pipe that this car made as you headed towards six-grand was unlike most other V8's in this country and something you wanted more and more of. The fact that it was silver was fortuitous because it simply vanished in Houston traffic. Looking back, I count myself lucky never to have had a roadside conversation with HPD.

Review: Remind you readers that the Pontiac GTO is simply a rebadged Australian made and designed Holden Monaro. It is not an American made muscle car, but an Australian made muscle car that is, in fact, very good.

Review: I grew up aroung muscle cars so I know a little about what it takes to make one. The new GTO adds luxury to the muscle car formula. I recently traded in a 3 series BMW for a 2004 GTO and I do not regret the decision. The GTO is just as nice on the inside and I beat the brakes off of a M3, 02 Cobra, and every Mustang GT that has challenged me. I also own a '71 Mustang that I am selling because I don't drive it any more (yes the GTO beat the brakes off of it too, literally). No car is without its flaws but the GTO gives back far more than it takes. Bob Lutz made a good call on this one. I give it 4.5 stars.

Review: What news is there about the new and redesigned 2008 GTO? I don't see a 2007 coming out as an import, what with the platform change, and look forward to a NEW design and not a "retro" GOAT that's better left to be bought at eBay.

Review: I have a 300zx with 550hp. My dad just bought a 06 GTO. We brought them to the the track and raced. Off the line the GTO hung with me till we hit around 3rd gear then I left my dad in the dust. I beat him with about 8 cars. We decided to race again, But this time we switched cars. When the light went green it was amazing the GTO pulled just as hard as my 300zx. After the drag races the track had and autocross turny going on. I took the GTO and it outpreformed any little honda there. So overall the GTO is a buy. It is worth the money.

Review: I just traded in my 2002 Corvette on the 2006 GTO. I have four kids so I had to do something. While the GTO is no Vette, it is a great car. I love the fact that it is a "sleeper." I wouldn't have bought it if it was a "retro" like the Mustang. If GM continues to build cars like this one, I will continue to buy them.

Review: What a crock! The GTO is the only American car I would buy for the very reason that it hasn't been "retro'd" out. Just because baby-boomers with more money than sense are trying to relive their childhood doesn't mean that younger generations are not looking for fresh designs of American classics. If I wanted a classic GTO, I'd go buy one!
