Review: Oil prices are already determined by scarcity and alternatives to oil. Americans have begun changing their buying habits for all energy consumption. In 10 years, most homes and cars will be 40% more efficient than today. I wish more people realized that "Rush Hour" is 40 minutes shorter than in 2004. Good things can happen out of neccesity. Me, I'm waiting for a Turbo Diesel Hybrid Automatic with 60 mpg City and 45 mpg Highway. I dare Ford, GM, or Chrysler to make one by 2008!

Review: The continuous rise in oil prices since 2002 is due to a serious imbalance between global oil supplies and global demand and huge question marks over OPEC's reported proven oil reserves. Other factors such instability in the Middle East, lack of significant new oil discoveries and fast-growing global demand are contributory factors but they have already been factored in by the global oil market. Even without political tension in the Middle East, the oil price, in my opinion, is heading towards $80 a barrel by the end of 2006 probably rising to $90 a barrel in 2007. -Dr. Mamdouh G. Review: I think the Bush administration will continue to push for sanctions on Iran. If they are able to get other Security Council members to agree, the Iranians will retaliate by shutting off exports of oil, and/or close the Strait of Hormuz to tanker traffic. With the track record of this administration, I think the odds are better than even that this scenario will develop. Be prepared for $4 to $5 gasoline prices at the pump.

Review: It's time for the U.S. Congress and administration to get more domestic supply developed. It's time for those in the road of domestic supply development to get out the way and let development take place. In that case, the U.S. can dictate terms by not being subject to the Arab et al cartel terms. The cartel will want to sell the stuff to someone and it will not make a difference to whom it is sold at the point that the U.S. does not need to buy from such sources. Get smart, U.S. Develop the sources we have in reserve to achieve energy independence from the Middle East et al.
