Review: Yahoo has been writing a few papers in this area and conducted a tech Buzz version of this market. I like the movie exchange idea much better because of the complete quantitative feedback of the movies themselves. The Yahoo Buzz meter was based on percent share of searches in certain markets - such as mp3 players. But those markets all have to be defined and interpreted by the market players. Movies and box office returns are very straightforward in comparison.
