Review: I ate this once! 1. It was small and overpriced in my American opinion 2. It was tasty but, the mayo just didn't go with the overall taste 3. Not the brightest McDs in JP idea 4. If wanting a non-burger item, when you can, get the ebi sandwich!

Review: What's amusing is the photos ... the actual sizes are not as big as in the U.S. and the current four patty Big Mac, while I have to say tastier than in the U.S. (probably using OZ meat) it's just too much for the average Japanese! I do enjoy the ebi sandwiches when they are provided. And what MP3 gift!? I've not seen any promo for those last year or currently. Then again I can't read Kanji. All in all, it is good to catch a McDs now and then - also I sometimes get the "Happy Set" (Happy Meal) to get the cool JP toys for friends' children in the U.S.

Review: Shrimp burgers would be big hit in China. I have been to McDonald's in Beijing and Guangzhou. But know that relating anything to the Japanese would not be a big hit. Use discretion.

Review: I was in China and I noticed a lot of bamboo shoots going to McDonald's Japan. I'm curious as to what or how the bamboo shoot is being used. We could all benifit by adding more healthy vegetable to our diet.

Review: Mr. Rowley,
May I recommend the original Japanese press release from Softbank in regards to the wireless service:
https://www.softbankbb.co.jp/press_bef/2005/p1109.html
Perhaps an "application" was needed when the said press release came out in November 2005. As of this writing, Softbank users are entitled to use ALL Softbank wireless "hotspots" for free, not only at McDonald's, but at other places like train/subway stations too. No application is needed. The catch is, you must be a paying user of Softbank services, or designated fee-based ISPs.

Review: Hello. I'm the writer of this article. Thanks for the comments. Regarding free wireless at McDonald's, users of the Softbank services who apply for the wireless LAN service from a McDonald's restaurant receive the service free of charge for up to one year. Review: I for one hope that McDonald's continues to wane in Japan, in favor of smaller businesses and higher-quality food. I wouldn't be upset at all if I never saw another set of Golden Arches.

Review: Wireless internet access is NOT free at McDonald's Japan. It is provided by Softbank. One must be a user of Softbank broadband services to surf wirelessly at the big M.
