Review: I am disgusted with greedy selfish Wal-Mart. How dare they provide low health care benefits and expect the tax payer to foot the bill. They should also pay a reasonable wage like other honorable businesses. Wake up -- don't shop at Wal-Mart. Drive them out of business.

Review: Let's see poor people work at Wal-Mart. Poor people eat at McDonald's and WUW-M is going to save us taxpayers by forcing Wal-Mart to take care of its unhealthy employees.
Eating at McD's or any place for that matter is a personal choice and freedom.
I suppose then we throw the "unhealthies" out of the group, then we might as well get rid of the smokers too, and maybe the people with risky sexual practices. If we're not careful we'll have the taxpayers paying for it all.
Let's face it, Wal-Mart and every employer should encourage employees to eat healthy, exercise, don't smoke etc. And WUW-M is going to do what exactly?

Review: Ok, this is enough. Now let's see... Wal-Mart made around $321 billion with profits of $11 billion. Let's erase the numbers for a while look at percentages, that's only a 3.4% net profit! I think any 9-year old can see that these are razor sharp margins. For those wake up Wal-Mart bozos plus bickering politicians that is just a profit of $3.4 for every $100 bucks of sales. Be thankful. Very few companies will cut cost (and profit) to a science in order to bring savings to people. At these margins, this is almost a charitable organization! Sad to say but the 1.3 million that they employ unfortunately are working because they bring saving and benefits to the hundreds of millions that benefit from this store. There must be something wrong with American society nowadays because everyone keeps on complaining and using the law to bring down excellent companies that do nothing but benefit the Amercian people and economy.

Review: While I may not be fan of Wal-Mart, I have message to all of you that believe they are the root of all evil. Stop shopping there! If their business practices are that offensive to you, don't support them! They would not be the biggest retailer in the world if you all would get a clue.

Review: We have the left and the right preaching to their respective choirs. That accounts for about 40% on each side. We 20% or so independents are not interested in hearing why this or that is the fault of the other side.
We just want a solution offered. We pay co-pays and payroll deductions for health insurance too.
Bashing Limbaugh, Franken or Rhoades doesn't advance the argument.
If WUW-M would speak to the true issue of healthcare costs, delivery and coverage instead bashing W-M they might get more support.

Review: Wow! I can't believe the anti-capitalist atmosphere in this country. Here's the deal folks, it all comes down to personal responsibility! If the very best job that you can get is at Wal-Mart, you more than likely made some poor choices along the way. It is not Corporate America's responsibility to take care of everyone! One thing I am glad to see is that minimum wage is being left to state and local governments. A livable wage in Sante Fe, New Mexico is much higher than that of one in Mayville, North Dakota. However, when people say that there will be no negative effects when the minimum wage is raised, especially to the $10.00 range, they are wrong. The economic impact can take quite some time to take effect. The real damage is not to companies like Wal-Mart. They will continue to flourish even without raising prices in many cases. Some small businesses will feel the pinch, forced them to reduce thier workforce, lowering service levels utimately making them less competitive.

Review: It's crazy for people to demand Wal-Mart increase pay and medical insurance. No one is making the employees work there. If it weren't for Wal-Mart, these same people would be on the doll, and the taxpayers paying for it. We should be thanking Wal-Mart for hiring so many people with no experience and education, etc. Get a clue -- want more money, go to college.

Review: Go WakeUpWal-Mart! I can't fathom how someone would be opposed to making Wal-Mart pay their fair share of health care expenses. A point to think about as well--low-wage workers not only shop at Wal-Mart they eat at McDonalds, resulting in a higher percentage of unhealthy workers that our taxes pay for because of Wal-Mart's greed. WakeUpWal-Mart? Wake up America!!!

Review: Conservatives live in complete self-centered isolation, getting most, if not all of their news from Neocon entertainers like Rush Limbaugh. They hate paying taxes, but they have no problem supporting needless wars such as in Iraq. Conservatives have been brainwashed that higher minimum wages will lead to higher inflation, which has been proven incorrect around the USA. Wal-Mart shareholders have no problem, it seems, letting Wal-mart's workforce go to the emergency room for a common cold, which then gets billed to the federal or state government. Conservatives elect people on lies, spew fake Christianity across the USA, and hate paying their fair share in taxes to live in a first world country. How pathetic can any one group of self-centered people be? Neocon radio's campaign of endless lies to Americans is the biggest disservice to free speech ever encountered in any "so-called" democratic society.

Review: So that's it then? It is basically the liberal Democrats that are fighting Wal-Mart. Since the liberals have lost much of their power in Wasihington, they pick on Wal-Mart because of its size? What does that accomplish? The flaw in their argument with Wal-Mart is that employees have options like finding another job or going back to their community college and getting an education. Perhaps a group like WakeUpDemocrats would be more effective.
