Review: I saw your posting and want to share with you how my client, Wireless Toyz is a good example where franchisees with passion for the business are typically more successful. Wireless Toyz was founded on the realization that even knowledgeable consumers of wireless products and service are overwhelmed by rapid changes in technology, confused by too many choices and intimidated by ?techie experts.? A successful Wireless Toyz franchisee actually looks forward to every frustrated customer and unique problem that walks in the door. Patience is a plus, but what really characterizes their consistent sales leaders is a passion for solving problems, one customer at a time! Review: Thank you!
I thought I had been too analytical with prospective companies. I guess not.
I have specific questions for specific companies generated after a bit of preliminary homework. I keep a journal of everything, right down to gut feelings, any/all research market trends, demographics, etc. Computers make it very easy to find out this info quickly, as does industry word of mouth, and blogs, and fashioning my desktop browser to deliver the exact type of information required. In my case, I have discovered that personal homework, research, my own dollars spent on a few training seminars, plus maintenance seminars, gain me access to product/how-to support, alsong with knowldege on purchasing the products necessary for the biz, which actually saves me a good amount of money by not entering into any franchise purchase. Forecast and calculate as many pertinent costs while consulting with pros. If prospective biz fizzles, it's time for lots of networking, contacts, and reinvention!
