Review: Great article, we are trying to make our games at www.cotopia.com good too. It's not easy to do with casual games, but I think our advantage is that the games are not short time based like some action games or games based on movies.

Review: I had expected more comments about such a good article.
I couldn't quite catch the author's motivation though.
Under "8. madness and sense of humor" I would add Johnny Crash, which was mentioned above anyway! When I crashed into the UFO for the first time I couldn't help but to laugh out loud!

Review: Thanks for the great insights - we need more discussion on this. I would add: The ability to save your game (essential given that you typically only play a game for a couple of minutes) and to start future games at higher levels once you've cleared them once. Tetris and Pac-Man, two of the best-selling games around, are horrible offenders on both fronts here.

Review: Interesting article and, in the most part, I find myself in agreement. For me, a long since somewhat jaded developer, that's quite amazing. ;)
