Review: STOP RUSSIA GAZPROM RABASKA LNG FACILITY IN CANADA
August 13, 2008
http://floodiceorfire.wordpress.com/stop-russia-gazprom-rabaska-lng-faci...
There has been grievous outsized naked aggression and intimidation of the former Soviet republic and free, Democratically elected Republic of Georgia. President Dmitry Medvedev has unofficially called off all hostilities.
1) We demand the permanent full cessations of hostilities in The Georgian region.
2) We demand the unpartisan protection, safety and welfare of all civilians
3a) We demand that Canada immediately halts Rabaska Gazprom Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facility in Quebec
3b) This facility effectively establishes a Russian Energy Beachhead in North America and in a time of crisis would endanger Central Canada and help destabilize North America.
A full LNG tanker from Russia, if it should "accidentally" explode, has been proven to have an impact of 55 Hiroshima Nuclear Bombs. The Rabaska LNG facility itself located just across from Quebec City, opposed by local citizens, would itself have the effect of heavier impact nuclear bombs.

Review: Enron was used by individuals to satisfy their personal greed for money. Gazprom is being used by individuals to satisfy their personal greed for power. Political power is Russia's real currency, so we're looking at the same tale, and we may still witness a similar faith. Capitalism and Russian (not Marx and Engels' - know your history) Communism both reward individualism and greed for power. So please let's not fall into hypocrisy and issue unfounded statements regarding morality and corporate and state ethics. Gazprom does not view people as an end. People are simply a means. And looking at Russian past and recent history, people and their lives are in reality worth very little when opposed to the State's (Putin's, in this case) interests.

Review: In all its work and usefulness, Gazprom and all other Russian/international companies are primarily business oriented companies dedicated to making money. So, what's wrong with that?
Didn't the Americans and others also get their standard of living the same capitalist way? No matter who owns the company, the main aim is to make money!

Review: The workers are happy. This is not good. No cost reductions, not skyrocketing rates for consumers. Something is wrong.
Must be commies!
No, really, what Russia needs is free-market deregulation of the energy markets. I've heard a company did this and did well. I think its name is Enron.
No, really.

Review: While making a 20% profit now, Gazprom has a huge development potential in starting to use modern management methods and hard technologies. The two that are in a very sparse supply in Russia. When Gazprom becomes a real business enterprise, its success has no limits. Still a long way to go. As long as Russia's society has.

Review: Geez, is BP, Shell or anyone else selling hydrocarbons to Poland and the Ukraine get accused of being "neoimperialist" for selling to them at market prices ? What really constitutes "neoimperialism" --demanding that bills be paid in full and on time ? I thought not paying one's bills is bad for the economy. Maybe the Ukrainians who have emigrated to the West should try shouting "neoimperialist" to their local utility and then try not paying the bills. After all they are used to paying much less where they came from, we could not possibly be asking them suddenly to change their habbits of living off someone else's back, can we ? With the help of some press coverage hopefully the lights will not go out.

Review: Well, what do you know! When we speak about OAO "Gazprom" we shouldn't consider it a business subject, because this is only used for implementing neoimperialistic plans of the Kremlin and not for making money.
