Review: Here you go, Accumulator: CNET.com compares the Toshiba Gigabeat S versus Apple's 5G iPod. http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11396_7-6550266-1.html?tag=ltst

Review: Well said Saul and AAM. Really if Microsoft is so "smart" why didn't it come up with the idea of iPod before Apple. Right now, may be feeling enchroached upon, Microsoft is trying to expand to other's territories.

Review: I'm with that one guy who said all he wanted was a USB drive that would play the music that was on itself. And that's why if/when I ever get an MP3 player, it'll be a Rio Carbon.

Review: Microsoft may be smarter but Apple is more creative. Macs have constantly reinvented the way computers are thought of, seen, and used. They have pioneered every market they have participated in and changed the face of our digital lifestyle, from video editing to graphic design to buying music. How long after Apple made iMacs was everything being made in clear colored plastic? Anything Microsoft will make will be self defeating because they just don't and can't "get it". Mac is the muse for the rest of the computing world.

Review: Oh right. All of you folks dissing Microsoft are Mac users who run Netscape or FireFox browsers, WordPerfect word processing, 1-2-3 spreadsheets, RealMedia for your streaming video and audio, and something other than PowerPoint for your presentation software? Gimme a break. Microsoft has been late to the party many many times, only to become a dominant player in that product category. Apple's popularity in the MP3 player market can't last forever because quite frankly, they're the "Microsoft" in this market and a lot of people aren't satisfied with their product and service offerings. How else do you explain AAPL's 35% drop since it's all-time high in January?

Review: Last year somebody predicted several things, all of which have since come to pass. What's going on here? http://p2pnet.net/index.php?page=comment&story=5185&comment=15123 It was mentioned last year that Intel Macs were intended to run Windows software. At the time, Apple denied it. Now, Apple is airing ads on TV confirming this. Also: This is about "Unified Web browsers," "Universal Communications Platforms?" And last week Bill Gates announced his goal to go into Universal Communications Platforms. http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/execmail/2006/06-26unifiedcomm.asp Further from that blog: We saw inventions specifically crafted for attacking Apple's market grip on the iPod? And now BW reports of plans to challenge the iPod market by Christmas. Something's rotten in Denmark.

Review: If any MP3 makers are reading: What I want is very simple. Give me a device that connects to my USB flash drive, finds the file directory, and lets me play any MP3, WMA, AA, and Wav files of my choosing. Don't give me any proprietary software, just let me play my own audio files from my own flash drive and I'll buy it. My gosh, what kind of a cost savings could you get if you didn't have to provide the flash memory stick?

Review: Microsoft is the Honda of computing. They make everything "simple"--or so they say. Yeah, can anybody come up with another group that spies on you & claims they're "protecting" you? But let us all remember they're going against Apple, the same folks that are so self-centered that they make Sony look good--oops I forgot the Betamax & the root-kit LMAO. Sound like a trend? Yeah I'm gonna run right out & get my Vista-powered/Blu-ray/HDTV/blah/blah/woof/woof.

Review: I love the idea. And for the record, if the government hadn't made Microsoft stop making products that were great so the Apples of the world wouldn't torch and burn, they would have even greater products to offer!

Review: Gee, with Microsoft's track record of innovative design, easy-to-use products, and outstanding advertising, how can they go wrong?
