Review: Let's face it, a lot of RB's popularity was due to its novelty. Sure it was well-produced, but it was also generally poorly paced and Congdon, even after more than a year as host, never quite developed into a polished "anchor" (comedic or otherwise.) One only need look at Ze Frank's "The Show" to see what creativity, pace, and humor can bring to a video blog.
Does this deal a blow to video blogging as a business? Perhaps, but let's wait to pass judgment until more than a handful of parties have the opportunity to evolve the idea.

Review: Great post, Heather. And congrats for getting the first interview of both players. With all the talk around individual empowerment and individual publishing, the recent string of departures from Robert Scoble, to Om Malik and Amanda clearly indicates that talent will still be scarce in the social web (even moreso actually than in the "traditional Web"). I wrote a follow up post to yours that you may enjoy.

Review: News or acting? News or celebrity? Hmmmmm, seems you cannot trust an actress to commit to a sound idea. Should have gone with the right person from the start, and then, of course, you could have kept the 49%. Doomed.
