Review: One 10 Terabyte to 10 Petabyte and beyond 3.5 in FEdisk would be equal 1,000 to 100,000 Ttmes the storage capacity of Blu-ray, disk drives, or tape drive. http://www.colossalstorage.net I'll wait till 2009.

Review: Both companies have refused to give manufacturers the right to make hybrid players. Perhaps this article is confusing that with the fact that Samsung made a prototype of a hybrid player. It cannot legally be put on the market.

Review: People will buy the technology with low prices, readily available and reliable. At present it's competition of availing the product on retail shelves.

Review: I just don't care. I was an early bird on Beta, then again on SACD, and DVD-A (which because of a miniformat war killed themselves). I agree with several posts. The winner will be whoever can produce a $40 HD type DVD player and sell it at Wally World to the masses. The masses could give a flying ****** about quality anymore. They want cheaper, and that is it. The only reason DVD took off was because of the very poor quality of video, in general, on tape. Robert

Review: Neither high definition DVD format should survive. On-demand and downloading movies to hard disks and flash drives should be the future. Now we just have to convince the movie production companies of this fact.

Review: I've been the victum of format wars more than once. I always go for quality, but I must agree with another poster--the winner will be what the masses go for, and that is, whatever costs the least at Wal-Mart.

Review: Last time the winner was dictated by the porn industry. With the Internet now dominating that industry, I am thinking the cheapest, better marketed, and most reliable one will win. One thing is for sure, both will not survive.

Review: Why buy any of these products now? Wait until the PS3 launches and get the gaming capability and a Blu-ray DVD for $699.

Review: Some $500 is a lot for a DVD player that has no defined future.
