Review: Bill Gates is a Robber Baron of the same caliber as Rockerfeller. For years, he expanded his product by "taking" (some would call it stealing) software features (and code) from other companies and incorporating it into his MS package. The official term at MS was "embrace and extend" a number of employees cynically called it "swipe and hype". Now he is trying to clean up his image like Rockerfeller did with his trust funds. Other posts have already noted the raw (a/k/a unethical) deals that he perpetrated. Underneath that geekish exterior is a real shark.

Review: Bill and Melinda Gates are wonderful examples of people that care enough to help all of us. I've seen first hand the difference they have made in the lives of children and families in Navajo Land.

Review: Mr. Gates didn't put together the most phenomenal business enterprise merely to retire and settle down to go fishing at 50.
I am impressed with his choice to work on a philanthropic approach to the use of his achievements.
If his charitable objectives turn out to be as successful as his skills in business enterprise the world is truely headed towards becoming a better splace.
He has set an example in business enterprise He is now headed towards setting an example for humanitarian developement as well.
May God Be With Him.

Review: Bill Gates is an example that rich people around the world should follow. Instead of losing sleep over their wealth getting diminished, they could use it to help needy people and in exchange get a good night's sleep.

Review: I smell a rat just like Mr.Bill can smell money from a million--make that a billion--miles away. This guy should never be trusted, period. He is always motivated by monetary rewards or some sort of idol worshipping. Listen here, look at what he did to IBM and Steve of Apple Computer Inc. and Sublogic Flight. These guys and companies trusted him. So is this the guy to be trusted and praised? I do not think so. In case you were wondering I honestly do have tough love for honorable Bill Gates, and that not withstanding I do smell a rat. My beloved hero is up to something. You better watch out and people stay tuned. Long life Bill, the Gate Keeper and Door Opener for Heaven. Bless this man with the golden keys.

Review: I'm from Thailand and really appreciate Bill Gates. Most people think only about financial benefits and ignore social responsibility. Your action will be a good example to realize on ethics.

Review: As there are better operating systems than Windows and are hardly used by commoners, there are better businessmen who have hardly done any good to the society. Bill has taught the world the balance between financial profits and social responsibility. Thanks for everthing you have done Bill.

Review: Dear Mr. Gates,
I'm very impressed with your talents and the way you made the world step up. And now after collecting all this money I was thinking what is Gate going to do with it? But you found the answer and it was to help the poor people. God bless you.

Review: As a Nigerian and as a technologist, I appreciate Bill Gates for what he has done both in technology, and as a latter-day philanthropist. He might have started out his philanthrophy as a means to counteract his image as a predatory business practitioner, but to me, his $29 billion foundation has done much more good in the short period of its existence than the 25 years of the Microsoft juggernaut. Larry Ellison buys Gulfstream IV's and sails yachts. Bill Gates funds the development of a malaria vaccine, which will save the lives of 3 million Africans. Which is more important?
Mr. Gates, your legacy as a humanitarian is now assured. Congratulations, and the very best of luck in your new endeavor.
P.S.: I guess now is as good a time as any to buy up as many shares of Microsoft as you can lay your hands on :)

Review: To Bill. All the thanks for the PCs made easily accessible to the illiterate and poor. You have not only opened the Windows but the doors to innovation. Remember, it is the fruit bearing tree that get kicked or the stones and sticks are thrown at the fruit bearing trees and not the ones that give nothing. Don't fret over the minority of the insults and the rebukes of those who have commenced the PC world now. As to Vista, truly it is not you who must look to whether this is on schedule or not. You have a CEO receiving a handsome salary and if he defaults then he is to blame.
