Review: I am a big fan of Pixar's work. Disney made out well acquiring it, and Cars will turn out to be a great classic in time.

Review: Cars was the first movie my hyperactive 2 year old ever went to and his attention didn't waver once. I think it may even have surpassed Finding Nemo in his estimation.

Review: Another outstanding technical achievement, but it was boring. I've heard many reports of kids who couldn't stop fidgeting. and I liked all previous Pixar efforts.

Review: Albeit that every Disney/Pixar film has been an outstanding achievement in animation, not since Toy Story or Monsters, Inc. has there been one as thoroughly entertaining as Cars. Unlike Chicken Little (which was as painful to watch as swallowing thumbtacks), Cars will be a classic for years to come ... all thanks to Pixar and worth every billion Disney paid to acquire them.

Review: Ultimately, what kid can sit for hours watching two cars talk? Disney must put more of an effort into marketing their films. The costs are high and so are the expectations. Disney can, and will prevail with upcoming features!!

Review: If they expected a better turnout, perhaps they should have concentrated their advertising on TV channels where car-rabid race fans congregate--Speed and Outdoor. Methinkum either those who made the movie or else those charged with advertising it aren't really into the sport.

Review: Hmm, some of the comments are a bit tough on you Ronald. I think it's a very fair and balanced article, and I didn't get the sense that you're knocking the Pixar deal or Cars, itself. Surely you're just trying to explain the psychology of those who are selling Disney on the Cars opening figures. That's what any good journalist would do. Keep it up, I say.

Review: I took my 7 year-old son to see this on opening day, and I'm not sure who ejoyed it more, but for different reasons. He already has the merchandising stuff (PS2 Cars game, Lightning McQueen T-Shirt, McDonald's Happy Meal toys from the movie), and I am telling every adult I meet to "go see this movie," not for your kids but for yourself. Not since Aladdin has a Disney or Pixar script contained such clever double entendres as this movie does. And it is filled with very cool nuances in the shapes of the clouds and the cliffs, and in the detailed imagery around the race track. This is a movie for all ages. I think word of mouth will make this the blockbuster of 2006.

Review: June 12 was a tough day on Wall Street with capital leaving stocks and going elsewhere with interest rate worries. For Disney to only drop a percent and a half on such a day is a worthy of applause.
