Review: Here's a fact! I just closed my keep the change! They still charge you their now $5.00 monthy service charge to provide you with this penies off the dollar program. So if you aren't using the card and building a larger balance you lose what they say they saved you. The charge is carried forward even if the accont is zeroed, and for every transaction after is absorbed until the charge is cleared. I had this program for almost a year and it is a waste. If you want to keep the change throw it in a jar! It will grow faster there!

Review: @aj You're missing something: Bank of America matches the contributions for the first three months at 100%, and after that at a smaller percent (around 5-6% i think). The previous poster said the matches were $150, not their own contributions.

Review: They are not stupid, its the people who don't understand the insight and hence the solution are the stupid ones. Agree its your money but the fact is that it compels you to save the change. Besides its a mechanism by which you surely get the money back into your savings account rather than it just going away by rounding off. Frankly the note is so self explanatory and brilliant!!

Review: I really do not understand this program. Users say 'we ended up with $150' ???? You already had the $150, it was in your checking account. BoA transferred it to your savings account for you. Really you are excited about that? Let's say your left pants pocket is your checking account and your right pants pocket is your savings account. Say you used to keep your change in your left pocket but now you will start putting the change in your right pocket and at the end of the day you celebrate because now your right pocket has money...huh? By the way your left pocket now has less money and most important the total between your right and left pocket is still the same as if you continued to keep the change in your left pocket.

Review: Hahahaha.....Keep the Change is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. You are not saving anything people. Its your own money, its not free. You save more money paying the original price than rounding up to the nearest dollar. All they do is transferring your OWN MONEY. Dont fall for this scam people. Its pretty shady.

Review: I've been using Keep the Change for several years and find it to be absolutely PERFECT! It simply rounds up my transactions and moves that extra "change" to my Savings account. I've amassed over $1800 this way, not including the matching funds (which BofA supplies, up to $250 a year.. It does NOT come from MY accounts). I even cheat a bit: When I go to buy gasoline, I do an extra few cents. So, instead of $30, I do $30.05 .. The extra 95 cents goes into my Savings account, and I've never noticed it missing! Thank you Bank of America!

Review: I thought this program GAVE you money (the keep the change they round up) but their not. They just take your own change and transfer it from your checking to your savings. So if you think theire gonna give you money no they only match the change you make for the first 3 months. After that whatever change you make, any change you make I guess then, they just take it and then transfer it then. So it's your own money. Only you don't have access to it for a year. And you have to have $300 in your account as a minimum or I think you get fined. The.

Review: Keep the change is a rip-off for many customers. What BOFA doesn't tell you upfront is that they consider Keep the Change a savings account. This means that unless you maintain a balance of at least $300.00 in any given month, they will charge you a $5.00 fee ($3.00 until last month). In a year I never amassed $300.00 and so was charged $36.00 in fees. When they upped the fees to $5.00/month I closed the account. I should have closed it in the first place.
