Review: What inhibits any state pension plan, specifically, NC, from declaring bankruptcy like United Airlines? What should state employees reasonably expect from our invested pension dollars? Quite frankly, I feel our government allowed corporate heads to steal our funds and underfunding myth is a political pardon for thieves. CEOs and partners deserve prosecution; mandated to sell all assets on and off-U.S. shores in order to pay eligible retirees for benefits promised and earned. Liquidation includes selling their jewely, works of art, cars, airplanes, all trust funds and things of value. Capitalism does not guarantee continued wealth, such is not necessary to live. Politicians voting their conviction deliberately misuse authority and deny citizens participation in our democracy. Democracy is not at work. Their pro business votes enriches their wallets and campaign treasures but promotes suffering, death, and destruction of humankind. Enough already! Return what belongs to retirees.
