Review: Hey wvt915,
Have you looked at HD in light of who is running it and where he came from and the path it has traveled recently. Nardelli has bought Hughes, a water works supplier, tool manufacturers etc. You don't suppose he is bent on trying to build a mini-GE?

Review: I can't see Home Depot being a good investment at this time due to the fact it's listed as a "sell" as of May 29, 2006. The Home Depot board of directors held their annual meeting in May and didn't show for the meeting. The CEO cut the time of the meeting even though investors came in from all over the country to speak. This to me shows a lack of interest in the Home Depot investor. The price of Home Depot stock has been down over the last 5 years. I see a real lack of direction and leadership in this company. Most of the stores I've been in from Virginia to Pennsylvania show too many out of stock items and not enough sales people with home improvement knowledge. This is why Lowe's stock has increased threefold, paid dividends and had a 2-for-1 split. My money would be in any other stock, not Home Depot.
