Review: The incidence of creepy people carrying out creepy acts assisted by MySpace is about as much as the incidence of people carrying out creepy acts in general. The answer is education, not "we should abolish MySpace." People should be taught not to be victims. It's a parent's responsibility to teach that. Now, should politicians use MySpace? Absolutely! It has already been said that there are controls that can be used, such as censoring comments and suchlike. On the other hand, I think we all understand that just because someone posts something on your MySpace page does not mean that you agree with it.

Review: Look, I use to have a MySpace myself but it's really bad news. I had one and then people started contacting me and sending me scary things. So I deleted it. But now I am hearing all these bad things on the news about people flying to see their MySpace friends and people getting raped. This is why I really think someone should vote to delete the whole Web site and to never be online again. I think that more people would be safer then.

Review: 1) I have over 300 friends on MySpace and have never been sent sexual messages.
2) You have the option of approving or denying who you accept as a friend. So before you add someone as a friend check out their MySpace page and see if they are the type of person you want on your site.
3) You have the option of approving and denying comments on your page so only the comments you approve will be visible, others will be discarded. This can also be applied to the blog. The content on your site will be completely in your hands.
4) My mother (46) is on MySpace and uses it to connect with people from her past. There is nothing wrong with people over 30 being on MySpace.
5) You can make your profile private by making yourself under the age of 16. This way no one can send you a message or friend request unless they know your last name. The last name thing can be applied to all profiles.
MySpace is great! It's not the community of oversexed teens being portrayed in the media.

Review: I have a MySpace site. Yeah, I have had the crude and disgusting e-mails and people trying to be very weird and can see the risk. But I also see the good, which is communication among your friends and others. Now, if you abuse it then you should be penalized for it -- not others who don't. So a clean-up of MySpace is highly suggested. And don't ruin something good for people. It's just not fair. Do something about the people with bad intentions!

Review: This is actually kind of funny. When folks who know very little about the online social milieu dive in, how do they know the comments that tell them they're "cool" are from real people? Sure, they can hire a young person to do the speak and help them out, but will it work? Will they be genuine? Bill Clinton did great on MTV, and might have on MySpace, but he's a unique character. I'm not so sure the average stuffed-shirt politician can consistently pull it off.

Review: They should take MySpace off, because it is just bad and obviously it is going to get worse. Who cares if that is the only way to contact other people. Get their e-mail or phone numbers. My opinion is I used to have a MySpace account for only two months and I cancelled it because I was getting some e-mails from weirdos and I feel like I had people stalking me.

Review: This is just my opinion but I think MySpace should be either shut down or relooked at and made better. I have recently done a research paper on MySpace and the information I found was shocking.

Review: Hey -- I have something to say. I say that only the people that try and meet people and talk nasty on MySpace should be deleted. The people who don't do anything but talk to thier friends shouldn't be punished. What if that's the only way that person can keep in touch with their friends? We should only kick off the people that do bad things. We shouldnt let them ruin it for all of us. We should keep MySpace.

Review: It's an idea -- but in a sense, a bit of a weird one, and unproven. But who knows? It can pay off.
Although I'm not entirely how many kids would add a "friend" who's old enough to be their father/grandfather.
