Review: First of all, it is extremely hard to find good employees and then when they do have good employees that know what they are doing, have great customer service, they let them go. The Home Deopt in Napa is just about one of the worst I have ever seen. My husband was recently let go, after a year and a half of dedicated work. He had his review, it was excellent, he recieved a raise and in November he was let go. He had a back injurie in Feb. 2008 and it pretty much was very debilitating. He still continued to go to work faithfully, the customers loved him and as I stated he recieved an excellent review with a raise. He was late to work twice and they gave him a warning. The was late because of his back injury. The third time he was late, he was terminated. So were at least 25 other employees that made pretty good money. i do believe this company is so cheap they plan the demise of employees who are revieving benefits and decent wages and turn around and let them go. This is not right and the company already has a bad rep.due to poor customer service and lack of caring by employees who are lazy. What is wrong with this picture Home Depot? Is it greed by CEOs or what? You tell me!

Review: We as managers were directed to maintain a 20 - 80 ratio of part time and full time associates. This will help kepp payroll costs down as well as benefits. The customer service will come later.

Review: Home Depot has the worst customer service in the stores. Employees aren't will ing to help and they make it seem like they are doing you a favor. I will never shop Home Depot again. I am going to Lowe's where the customer is important to the associates!!

Review: Home Depot's customer service is beyond unprofessinal. The merchandise comes in damaged delaying installation time. They keep you on hold too long or, not pick up at all or give you the run around. I am very disappointed and will never shop at the Bruce B. Downs, Tampa FL store again or perhaps HD at all.

Review: I am a cashier for Home Depot and I am troubled by the lack of environmentally friendly bags and packing materials for breakable items sold. I think that there has got to be a better way to serve our consumers and our planet at the same time. Insentives for using canvas verses plastic or even just a plastic recycle center in the stores would be a nice touch. We sell all types of "green" products but that is where the efforts stop. Please consider other options. I would truely like to see Home Depot be a trend setter. It is good for business and for the environment. Thank you, Heather

Review: My comment is that Home Depot needs to learn how to hire, qualified employees and not just friends or previous coworkers. My boyfriend has worked for Home Depot for 7 years, his pay is capped out and the employees get a bonus at Christmas, a coupon for 10% off. Wow! You would think for 7 years and the knowlege he has that they would reward the work he does. Also when they hire women, he is the one that has to carry the slack, if they can't lift, carry or move things. If you can't handle the job find another one. Happy employees make happy customers.

Review: Home Depot should remember a lot of the associates who work for them have families. You shouldn't try to make a buck off of those families.

Review: I agree with all the comments toward the former CEO. They pay this man an outlandish salary and exit bonus, yet still seek to fire all the old associates. This new metric garbage that they came up with is crazy. It takes away from the important thing that we were hired in the first place to do. That was to serve the customer and give them what they came there in seach of--not a bunch of bogus jargin from the new people they put in for less money. They need to think of the tenured associates who helped make this company a success and ask themselves why they are firing all of the ones that really cared for the company. They hire under-paid associates now and expect them to do all of what we did. They keep adding list upon list of duties. What do they expect you to do? Serving the customer was what this company was founded on by Bernie and Arthur. That's what it needs to go back to.

Review: Home Depot sucks. Shop at Menards or Lowes. Home Depot cares only about money. The rebate center has a bunch of kids that smoke weed and are really stupid.

Review: Why in the world would Home Depot pay this CEO $210,000,000? When they fired him, he should have got nothing. A person that gets fired from a $10 an hour job gets no extra pay. This sounds like an inside job with others in the corporate office at Home Depot. I have done a lot of shopping there. Now I better reconsider.
