Review: "Designs must be predicated on sound understanding of how the Web works today." A sound understanding of the Web is an utopian idea. Sound technology has great scope in digital entertainment, the movie industry, and in designing hearing aids. "That's fine when researching, but not when part of an everyday routine-- you want that information fast." Why does anybody want information fast? If anybody wants information fast there are other methods of securing it. The situation in developed countries is different from the developing countries. A perennial problem in developing countries is unpredictable power supply. It is not uncommon to find the power supply suddenly switching off when you are browsing the Internet. Priorities in developing countries are different and influence the use of the Internet. The best possible use for the Internet in developing countries is to use it for poverty alleviation and education. Blogging has appeared as a new mode of using the Internet.

Review: I've been using the new Yahoo home page for three or four days and am not impressed. (I also use MyYahoo). I have a profile on Yahoo Personals and have clicked on the Personals link at least 20 times and haven't see any change in the link's size or location. I get no preview of my Yahoo mail when I mouse over. The old page allowed me to select three icons I wanted displayed at the top left of the Yahoo page. Apparently, I have no such options on the new page.

Review: We are seeing the Web evolve faster than ever. Almost every major player is releasing toolkits that take advantage of AJAX and creating responsive Web applications. We are seeing desktop applications move to the Web just like www.sslbridge.com.
