Review: Boeing purchased a company named Autometric, Inc. that developed a technology that takes this one step further by integrating all of the sensors in a facility (video, door, IR, etc) into a 3-D model of the facility to tag activities based on sensors algorythms. Review: MDI Security Systems out of San Antonio has something similar called SenseEye VMD, which uses overlaying camera feeds to perform 3D analysis to reduce false positives. Pretty cool stuff all around.
