Review: In the resale market, many folks are still hanging on to last spring's prices and are reluctant to price their homes to sell. They are unaware that many builders today will most likely match dollar for dollar reductions in the new home they are interested in purchasing--particularly if the home was contracted for late '05. Many of these folks also forget that when market conditions stablize it will be the new home that increases (typically) at a more apprecialbe rate than the one they are leaving behind. There are still many compelling reasons for folks to continue the pursuit of their new homes, even in this market.
