Review: Bill Gates is the one who purchased $300 million worth of Berkshire stock. It is still a token amount for him, but that figure is already a few months old and I have not verified of late if he had increased his BRK stake or not. In any event, Gates has been very visible at BRK and has already had a profound effect on WEB's mentality regarding giving back to society now as opposed to after his death.

Review: Large cap value has lagged for five years, but the tide will soon turn as investors get whacked by compressing p/e's of small and mid-cap stocks. Look at value plays within the DOW 30. You can keep 20% of your portfolio in speculative plays, but the bulk gaining 10% to 15% a year will be much better than huge sell offs like we've seen the past two days. Expect more of the same as we begin a flight into the more value oriented plays.

Review: Buffet should invest more into banking, i.e., Fifth Third Bancorp. Fifth Third value is below the normal average and should increase in value in the near future.

Review: Your review was well received in that a 10 to 12 percent return suggested stock picks is in line with a retiree's quest for reasonable security.

Review: Tim is a very talanted and successful money manager. He has followed Buffett for years...even written a book about Buffett. His observations and comments are quite insightful....and I like his ideas.

Review: How do you keep Mr X (Buffet's secret successor) on the reservation without telling him/her Buffet's retirement date? If he/she knows, shouldn't we?

Review: Hi, what makes you think the price was cheap, since Iscar is a privately held company? You wrote: "He acquired [a major stake in] Iscar Metalworkings for $4 billion in cash, getting a quality family-owned company at a cheap price."

Review: Second paragraph of the answer to first question: you wrote: "I was very glad that he named Bill Gates to the board of directors, and [glad] to see Buffett personally purchase more than $300 million worth of Berkshire stock.". Did Gates buy $300 million worth of stock, or was it Buffett himeself? Thanks.
