Review: The next wave of content can't be bought. It's consumers creating content, not select aggregators or studios. If Microsoft is interested in ad revenue, it shouldn't buy a big arcane chunk of content like TW. It should facilitate content creation and share the ad revenue with the creators.

Review: I have to ask the question outright, even at my slight concern that the answer might be obvious. How is content going to win the war with Google? This content issue interests me. Murdoch and News Corp. obviously have content. Why did they see now as the time to pay half a billion dollars for MySpace? I think these issues are interrelated. Help me understand someone, as I certainly don't want to "miss the boat." Is it as simple as he who has the most interesting stuff for consumers maybe gets the largest number of consumers to visit his website and thus a larger portion of ad revenue? That sounds great in theory I suppose...but the internet is a litte different than television and radio.
