Review: These global brands that are being supported have the impact of what they do to local brands to consider. Think about the way these global brands drive down the business of these local brands.

Review: Royal Dutch petroleum is truly Dutch; no argument there. But Shell Transport and Trading is British and fortunately the overall company chose to use the Shell name and not Royal Dutch petroleum (too long), as a result the British classification.

Review: Amazing that China with over thousands of decades of history does not even have one global brand name on the list. Maybe there are a lot of brand names within China. Somebody should bring this to the attention of their leaders because global brand names cannot be copied, have to be nurtured and protected for copyright violations so that they can be built upon. Stop making shoddy goods and think about quality and customer satisfaction before bringing any products to the market. Maybe then we will see a breakthrough.

Review: What's missing from the list are the individuals who are brands by themselves, like Arnold Schwarzennegger and Martha Stewart. While these names may not be worth as much as a corporate brand name, they still count for something, and there should be a complementary list of individuals who are brand names.
