Nickname: who can i trust
Review: Who can I trust in VoIP? Verizon is too greedy and now that Vonage is gone there leaves IDT who owns Net2Phone. I hear good things about them -- and they have been at it for 10+ years. Plus, they have a promo on now that sounds great (I bet to take advantage of all the recent news). I do trust IDT but I am a bit gun shy -- should I be?

Review: I recommend that people avoid Verizon. We had a cell phone stolen and notified Verizon and they didn't even try to catch the person .. who was still using the phone. When it was finally turned off, they put full pressure on us to pay for the fraud done to us.. a couple of THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!! They didn't care who paid.. they wanted US to pay...

Review: Vonage has the right idea and has good customer interaction. Verizon's arrogance, customer victimization and manipulation will catch up with them, because there are many many dis-satisfied customers - who are now cable Comcast customers. Verizon is scared and jealous of Vonage; thereby they are seeking not to work with them, but to destroy them.

Review: NSA, go with Vonage or Skype. Stay away from anyone that will sell you out. Does ATT and Verizon or Google money matter more important than rights?

Review: We dumped Verizon $57 a month for a phone. Went with Vonage huge savings. Charter has not put together a package that beats Vontage. Is the Vonage IPO a good deal?

Review: I am a Verizon customer and already looked into getting their VoIP. I get my DSL from Verizon, too. If I would have gotten their VoIP I would have had to keep my present number to continue to receive my DSL so the cost of their VoIP is an addition to my bill. It would only work for me if I would do more than $24.95 of long distance calling each month. I use Yahoo 2 cents a minute calling plan for long distance. I am still waiting for the Charter cable company to offer a triple service(phone, TV, and Internet) or for Verizon to offer the same with their fiber to the house plan.

Review: In time only one phone company can be. It is one of, if not the biggest employers in the world. Just have to figure a way around laws!

Review: It's quite simple at this point. Vonage needs to offer a new experience for the customer so that they would not mind paying more, or degress their pricing structure.

Review: With Verizon forcing a standard phone with their VoIP (the reason only 50,000 are signed up), the cut is just a silly show.

Review: I think that the big telcos still are the only game in town making a profit. It won't be long before AT&T or Verizon or Quest buy up Vonage and set the VOIP prices so they don't further erode the wire line base they already have. The only real competition for the Telco is the cable companies and we see how they keep their prices.
