Review: Why is BusinessWeek so darned negative toward ethanol? I suspect big oil is standing somewhere behind the curtain. Not one point is validated or substantiated - its spin - i don't buy it and neither should you.

Review: Where I live regular gas is 1.98 and e85 is 1.69. That is 85% less. I know for a fact my suburban gets more than 85% of the mileage it gets from regular gas.

Review: I converted my Saturn LS1 to E85 using an aftermarket kit. It runs very well, and with 30+ MPG anyway, who cares if it costs a little more? Yes, SUVs will feel the cost differences, but if you drive the average four cylinder, I've found THE COST IS SIMILAR, and engine performance is terrific. My cost of conversion was about 600.00

Review: What everyone seems to be missing is not the fact that we are losing a little bit of mileage but the fact that technology will improve and we will find ways to make cars run better and get better mileage and we are keeping valuable petrol dollars here in America and not putting them in the deserts of the arab world. Additionally, we can make ethanol on renewable products like switch grass or better known as prairie grass which is a perennial plant and does not require annual planting and or intensive farming. This is the avenue that we should shooting for. Brazil no longer imports on barrel of oil from the arab world because of their own ethanol production. this is what America should be striving to achieve. We have become complacent and we have lost our drive and it is disturbing to think that we are willing to settle for what the car companies and the politicians tell us isn't possible. This is America folks..antything and everything is possible if we want it badly enough.

Review: Just FYI I have a 1999 Ford Ranger FFV and it gets 17.5 mpg on E85 and 18mpg on E10 Gasoline. I have also heard from a fellow that I work with that his nephew has a Taurus FFV that gets the same mileage on E85 as it does gasoline. This is possible considering that the computer makes the modifications to the way the motor runs, granted a carburated vehicle will not run very well on it, but I sure do like the way the Ranger runs on it. More power and near equivelant mileage!!!!!

Review: Give me ethanol. I would much prefer to purchase my energy needs from this country's farmers rather than the camel jockies and multinational oil corporations. Give me ethanol, let them keep their oil, and stay out of the US while they are at it.

Review: I use E10 now. It's great. I don't care if E85 costs more. I am willing to spend the extra money if it means giving the Arabs a one talon salute.

Review: Ethanol is easy to hate. It burns hotter than hell, no mileage, just another way to get more money for corn. It costs more than gas. The White House is pushing this. American's not knowing this will buy this crap.

Review: I think ethanol is a good alternative, but this is going to hurt more of our wallets. People who use trucks with v8 will be very disappointed and will prefer to use gasoline.

Review: How about nuclear fuel?
If we could master the waste management, it could be used to produce hydrogen to run hydrogen-powered vehicles.
