Review: Well, his reference to the Wii controller as a "DVD remote" is in a way, perfectly normal and fine. He works for Microsoft, not Nintendo, so just remember that. He's not going to concede that much. Anyways, it really does boil down to one's own opinion. The ease at which I, a user of Xbox Live, can connect and play with other gamers is pretty innovative. It's basically like a new world of people to meet and become familiar with. I think the inclusion of online in consoles is more of an innovation than the controller. Nonetheless, I'm still immensely excited about how they're going to utilize the Wii's remote. Two more days will tell.

Review: Nintendo? Microsoft is not convinced by the controller's claims to innovation of the year. "If the controller is different and innovative; fine. But I would say that Xbox Live is the bigger innovation. It depends on your definition of innovative. If having a DVD style controller defines innovation; great. I would argue that talking millions of gamers and connecting them with friends and strangers around the world... I'd call that pretty innovative." Yeah, because nobody played online together before Xbox Live. Nope, not one person.

Review: He fails to realize two things: the telephone and Internet have been around long before "Xbox Live" came out so it's not innovative at all, and secondly, Nintendo's new system's controller isn't a normal DVD remote (which last I checked is an Xbox feature) and has motion-sensing capabilities he either doesn't know about or was too ignorant to admit.

Review: Because clearly, the Xbox and Xbox Live were created before the creation of the Internet.

Review: I'm sorry but Moore's definition of innovation is pretty sad. I wouldn't buy into it seeing that "connected gaming" is nothing new or inventive. Playing down Nintendo's controller as a "DVD-style controller" shows his lack of understanding of the true definition of "innovation." Innovation requires the invention or re-invention of an idea... expanding on advanced features while simplifying unnecessary garbage. I feel Moore is threatened by Nintendo's approach at revolutionizing the gaming industry. And because of that, he needs to stoop low.
