Review: I think the biggest concern for people regarding the use of Biometrics is safety. I'm in charge of the Cardiology department at a local hospital. I needed security for my laptops so that people could not retrieve confidential medical records and such off of them in case they were stolen. I turned to a company called M2SYS Technology to incorporate their biometric security software onto our laptops. It works great and I no longer fear that confidential medical information could slip into the wrong hands. I think where there is the question of spoofing with biometric devices, looking for authenticated & established biometric software providers, is the only solution.

Review: I think this a a great path to the future´s security. I´m not saying it will be a good tool right now, because the lack of experience with this kind of security won´t let it be our perfect key to security. But in some years, when the industry has more experience I´m very sure they will find the answers for the questions we are asking ourselves right now.

Review: It's scary to think about what would happen if someone using all these devices ended up on a plane that crashed but he survived. If his facial features were damaged, he lost his index finger, or his voice box was damaged then he couldn't access a lot of computers, ATM's, etc.

Review: Rakshe, I believe most biometric companies are requiring a pin code as well. You can always change that, but your fingerprint, for instance, will just provide an extra form of verification. So the two together will provide much more security than just a single password.

Review: There is a downside of using body features for authentication-- you can't change them like passwords. You can change your passwords every month to limit any damage a hacker could do. Once a your body feature information is leaked, damage will be unlimited.
