Review: Excellent article. Very educational. To it, I'd add three things... 1) If you know that hiring isn't your forte, pay an HR company to help you. 2) Don't wait till the 11th hour to decide that you need an employee or consultant. It's so much better to "plan" your process and do it when you are not in emergency mode. 3) When hiring teens, really take a look at your state's laws, which vary quite a bit. Learn if you have to update your license to hire them; learn the hours/time rules that you need to abide by, etc.
