Review: Yeah, like I'm dumping Sirius to go to anthing Clear Channel has to offer. I don't trust these guys one bit since they dumped Stern and got super conservative. Good luck to anyone who likes choice or who doesn't live within their 50 metro regions.

Review: HD doesn't charge a subscription fee - you have to buy a radio with satellite and then pay more money every month. And it sounds like the HD playlists are even looser than Sirius.

Review: You people are nuts - have you heard this HD2 stuff yet? It totally rocks. I don't care who programs it - I just want great music to listen to.

Review: Broadcast radio has been dying for 20 years in the big markets like New York. I think Clear Channel is making a good business move to address the new technology with targeted programming but the cost of the equipment is prohibitive especially when most of the audience only listens in the the radio when they're driving. So, if the get organized in the larger markets they should offer two year contracts and give the equipment away for cheep; that model works for satellite TV, cellphones, and satellite radio.

Review: Greed killed this once great medium and I believe that you can still buy canned greed at your local Clear Channel station. I would love to hear great radio again, but not from a CC station. There is still immense potential in terrestrial radio as long as it is they wittle down the commercial time. How about 5-10 second commerials between song to hold the audience? And say who the band is before and after the songs? And less targeted, more free flow?

Review: If satellite has the same channels there seems to be no point to switch to Clear Channel, especially with the cost of the receiver.

Review: What a waste of shareholder money. Clear Channel is far too late to catch the new market, and far too early to create another new one. It's going to be similar to HD TV. That was out years ago, but it will take a least another 4 to 7 years to make that a big enough market. There are other reasons why this is a waste of money, but I'm limited to only 1000 words.

Review: Wow..50 cities! So for those of us who live in smaller markets or outside of the "urban sprawl", I guess we will have to just "make do" with local channels until HD is available in say 5, 10, or 15 years. I wonder what we will do until then. Oh yeah, I think I will just get Sirius or XM and not worry about waiting around for this to happen. And wait..a Sirius or XM reciever is just $49 these days...not the $200 of HD Radio. I say good luck to clear channel but I think your time is running out.
