Review: Another moronic gafaw by the Bush Administration. We all know porn is out there, that it is one of the most lucrative industries in America, that it breeds hedonistic urges that destroy families, and those are just the plain facts. Bush has ruined American credibility in the world for so many things from the Iraq war to pollution treaties he has broken, and now he wants to use his misguided, certainly misinformed religious right politics to overrun a good thing for the Internet. I would say those of us who are moral, no matter what our religious preferences are, would love there to be an xxx Web address for porn, and banish all porn to these areas. Then those of us who don't use these sites don't get hoodwinked into going there. A simple xxx filter would save us all, our children included. No sense in writing GWB, because as said himself, he doesn't like to read. Peace, God Save America from Bush and the criminals in his administration.

Review: People should be ashamed to use the important .XXX delay for an ideological power grab. The .XXX proposal, delayed by ICANN, would confuse parents trying to keep porn from their kids because it did not mandate that adult sites go on .XXX. No mandate will confuse parents to think that their kids will be safe by filtering .XXX. Not True. The U.S. Senator's idea is a separate (and good) proposal mandating that adult material reside on .XXX. We need to take a stand on this. Children get porn today without even entering a credit card. As far as I'm concerned, if one allows children to view porn online they are no better than a child pornographer. (I know this is not the legal definition, but the method is a chief technique used by predators who abuse children.) Adult Webmasters need to stop giving out free samples that make it easy for kids to get it. Anyone who wants to exhibit or sell pornography online should require a credit card to be entered before allowing access.

Review: It is amazing that this is even up for discussion. Finally, a way to contain this vermin like the lepers they are. These people prey upon everyone that they can get their hands on. I would put a .xxx filter on my computer so fast it would be funny. It is people like Harold who prey upon our family's like a plague with sick domains like whitehouse.com. Innocent children trying to look up history get snagged into it by these vermin. This bill needs to go through. For once, let's take back the Internet from these losers.

Review: This isn't about porn (or at least not to me). It's about figuring out how one country is out there influencing and deciding on behalf of an entire planet's population. Am I to assume that the Internet is only "free" when it's convenient to the U.S. (or any other country/government/agency for that matter)? On the subject, itself, it would be very intelligent to open up the .xxx domains. And if certain "policy makers" feel a bit embarassed because they find the topic taboo: A) grow up B) don't try to impose this on the global Internet community. Leave the choice/decision in the hands of the responsible Internet surfer.

Review: If nothing else, the .xxx idea would seem to make things much easier to filter programs and parents, schools, etc.

Review: I am a porn Webmaster. I have no apologies to make. The puritanical hypocrites of ICANN have shot themselves in the foot. I work for profits. XXX had a several profit motives for me to use it. All the descriptive .com, .net, etc. are long gone. The present Com urls themselves are very, very valuable with the best ones being worth five or more figures. XXX would have been a profitable industry-specific investment. Once live, XXX would allow sites to be found by those seeking it, and not found by those not seeking it. Porn sites, like all other commercial sites, are drowning in the information super landfill that is com, net, org, us, etc. and I want paying customers, not browsers. And as the sites I (would have) put on .XXX rose in the rankings, I would have allowed my com net biz urls to expire naturally. They would have been an expense I no longer needed to carry. Porn is a legitimate industry. That battle was lost generations ago.
