Review: I'm much more cynical about Second Life. Decades ago, German-American sociologist Herbert Marcuse identified that the West has become so indoctrinated by its own ubiquitous dogma that it became impossible for people to even imagine alternate realities. Accordingly, as SL emerges, it looks more and more like the real world: heavily commercialized, image-driven, escapist (of course), and increasingly importing real world paradigms rather than forging bolder, more imaginative ones. In terms of its much touted facilitation of human interactivity, SL seems more a refuge for those too fearful of the mess of real world intimacy. There are exceptions, but I fear that the corruptive influence of money will make them more and more scarce. Indeed, it already has. Everywehere you go, someone's hitting you up for money. Flying and teleporting won't elevate humanity any more than cell phones and TiVo do.

Review: We are a Real World business, QTLabs Inc., who decided to use SL for advertising and marketing and have been so successful at it that now we have a line of Advertising and Marketing services known as Advanced Virtual Integration Expert (AVIE)Services. So far we have been very successful and have built the Saturn Grill which is an RL resaurant now with an SL Virtual Presence.

Review: I have been in Second Life for about a year and a half. In that time, I have danced/stripped in clubs, hosted slingo, quintzee and other games, made so many wonderful friends from all over the world and met the love of my life who will be relocating to my state to live with me soon. Thank You SL. This is an awsome place where you get to know the inner person, without all society's thoughts on what is beautiful. I thank the Linden Lab for all their hard work. Hats off to you from myself and my SL husband Savik.

Review: I'm totally new to Second Life,
but in my first week I have built moving 3D models. There is an in world university with classes in 3D manipulation and building--from a novice level right up to advanced--and so as a learning tool is second to no other virtual world out there.

Review: I have been on SL for about three months. I am in complete control of my land and love to hang out at my club. I have a real live radio station in game that can be listened to while on the Web. If you're in game look me up. -poodle noodle(Castlevania: legends)

Review: The possibility of earning real money and the fact that SL is built by the participants is what makes it so compelling. I have been on for a week and confess to being a total addict at this point. It's a beautiful world, or a violent one, or a tranquil one, snowfilled, beach-lined. You can go anywhere, be anyone, build anything. Even for non techies like me, it's a completely unique, fascinating experience. And free, if you don't want to own land!

Review: I started Second Life about six months ago and joined a Mafia family and I own and run the longest drag racing track in the game. I love the fact I can do anything I can think of, from building super fast cars to building skyscrapers to shooting guns. There is no limit to what goes on here. I am still amazed all the time at what people build. I love this game and would recommed it to everyone.

Review: I can be whatever I want in Second Life, from a fisherman to a hitman! There's milliions of possibilities to Second Life that make it such a great and addicting game, and it's free! Even thought I myself would pay for it. Thanks SL for the fun :)

Review: I have been playing Secondlife for about six months. I live in a small town hours from anything and not much into TV or cow tipping. So what I'm left with is online games. SL has given me a chance to try things I have wanted to go back to school for (graphics), but due to real life had not had the chance. My first day I wanted to learn how to make clothes, and tats and buildings my mind was filling with ideas faster then I could write them down. The people were friendly and one person offered to teach me how to make tattoos. From there I started spending more time in psp, and photoshop and before I knew it I was making my own clothes and running my own store where I am starting to see real profits. It's not much yet, but it's a start. I still get all excited when someone buys something in my store and I get a message. SL is a place with no limits. If you can dream it, you can do it.

Review: I do believe the 185,000 supposed residents is really maybe 20,000 with a half- dozen alts. Despite that, Second Life is the most unique fun experience where people can carry on real relationships and businesses. My partner and I enjoy a wonderful Second Life, one we could not have in Real Life.
