Review: M-Systems terminated its agreement with Samsung, which involved guaranteed NAND supplies from Samsung in exchange for M-Systems' IP that enables NAND flash to function like a disk drive. It will be interesting to what effect (if any) this has on Samsung's product plans.

Review: where did the author get the idea that the DOJ DRAM price fixing probe is over? The DOJ press release clearly states that the DRAM Cartel probe is continuing and that anyone with information should contact them. Also Samsung's big mistake was choosing to become an enemy of Rambus. Samsung faces huge patent and antitrust damages awards for stealing U.S. Rambus DRAM technology.

Review: SanDisk is a fabless company.It contracted out production to Toshiba.

Review: SanDisk is a Flash memory card supplier, whereas Samsung and the others mentioned are memory chip suppliers. Cards assemble the chips in a usable format for consumer applications. Micron both supplies chips and memory cards (Crucial).

Review: I can't help but wonder why that other brand of consumer flash has been ignored, SanDisk.
