Review: After trying to get a hotwater heater installed from Lowes for a WEEK when they promised IN WRITING it would be installed the next day. I demanded my money back and went elseware, cutting up my Lowe's credit card on the spot. I'd shop at a local hardware store or on the web before I set foot back in there. I've gotten better customer service at the DMV.

Review: All I know about Home Depot is that I leave their store angry almost every time I visit and can't count the number of times I have given up and walked out when I knew they must have what I wanted. They seem to restock the fasteners by sweeping the floors into the displays.

Review: The cover story on Home Depot's CEO explains their problems. He may be great at organizing but is failing on the customer service end. He's much more interested in cost control than service. From what I've seen their employee turnover is twice that of Lowes and there are fewer people on the floor to help me find things in the store.

Review: How can EMC be a top-20 performer? Its stock hasn't done a damn thing in years! And Amgen, I guess we'll have to wait to see if its stock actually does anything. I've lost money on both EMC and AMGN, so it makes me wonder how they get top billing.

Review: Why is Google not included in the top 50? It is also booming in the stock market in 2005. Isn't it?
