Nickname: In It Now
Review: I've found myself in the position of working for a small(er) company, in a non-management role, after being laid off from a large company. I do feel that the value I could bring to the company is overlooked. While my contributions are recognized as very valuable to the organization, there is so much more I could be doing. How do you and your readers think I can bring more value to the organization? My boss is somewhat of a controlling individual with little management experience. I have 15 years of experience in management, across diverse areas. I sense that my boss is a bit threatened by me / my experience / background. Other people seem to recognize my value and I've helped them with projects, although quietly as it seems to bother my boss. I've made a lot of process improvements and my boss is receptive to my suggestions most of the time.
PS - I don't shoot rubber bands. But I'm looking at other opportunities where I'll feel more challenged.
