Review: My website designer used a very boring picture of grandparents on my website - at least a couple of years ago now. Suddenly I am being asked for £1,100 by Corbis. Am I being conned? Have they taken over something that was free 2 years ago and now want to charge for it? I would never have used the beastly photo. We certainly paid for all the other images we used. Why would I not pay for this if it had not been free? Has anyone had similar problems with this company?

Review: 500 years from now Bill Gates will not be remembered for selling something called Windows, but for saving saving our photographic history. That will be his legacy.

Review: Bettmann Archive was NEVER public, always a private company. Number of images available to be seen/researched by the general public before Corbis bought them: 0. After Corbis bought and digitized: over 250,000. Yeah, Bill's a bad guy. Nice blend of ignorance and namecalling there Move On.(No, I don't work for Corbis, though I did years ago.)

Review: Sounds like public property, the Bettman archives, has been taken and exploited for sale, by none other than the Mafiasoft creator.
