Review: How much should be spent in corporate gifts? An expensive item may disagree with some clients? From these products, which could fit better an IT meeting:

Review: I sent a client a basket with various asst of gifts and included a Chilly Jilly because she was always cold at conferences. That's where I got the points for being thoughtful and personal (but not too personal)

Review: My friend's company just launched a new business gift idea, which involves personalizing the steel on Cutco knives with the company's logo and a personalized message. It's doing real well because the gifts are unique, quality, used every day, long-lasting, and suitable for both genders. If anyone wants more information on it, I would be happy to get it for them. mjriver@shaw.ca

Review: With more women in sales and buying positions, is there a niche market of gifts/promotions targeted to them--beyond golf shirts and food gift baskets with more personal and natural/renewable products.

Review: Corporate gifting is an essential part of business marketing and employee relations. Lets keep in mind that most businesses do not have hugh budgets for these items. We have to use creativity and client knowlege of the receipants. We have clients who like to send one large, impressive gift during the Christmas/Holiday season. I always try to talk them out of it. Why send your gift at a time when it will be lost in the crowd? Especially if it goes to an individual and not an office. Choose a different holiday: Valentines Day, Thanksgiving ...etc. Keep you name in front of them with thoughout the year and choose things they can use everyday. Use your creativity and knowledge of the client to get them a "useful" gift.
Employee recognition gifts are an area of corporate giving that is increasing in importance. Our clients do anniversary of hire or birthdays, not just 5yr awards. The employees love it and a small gift goes a long way towards employer loyalty.

Review: With the current craze on compliance and Foreign Corrupt Practice Act, most U.S. corporations are now unable to indulge in any extravagant gifts. How much can you personaliz the gifts when the FCPA threshold limits are so low or are these only disguises?
