Review: Other Key Points for Businesses to consider. Skype can sap your bandwidth without your knowledge. ? Skype can record/listen in on your conversations. ? Skype can share/sell your personal data to others (= more spam) ? Skype has very limited/nil interactivity with other VOIP services. There are serious alternatives to using Skype in a business environment that can protect both your security and your confidentiality. Skype achieves near-guaranteed connectivity by using a middleman when NAT or firewalls get in the way. Sounds like a good idea, right? Well, that middleman may be you and your unsuspecting internet connection. Concerning??, maybe you should have read the End User Licence Agreement more carefully before installing Skype. Article 4.1 states: "You hereby acknowledge that the Skype Software may utilize the processor and bandwidth of the computer you are utilizing, for the limited purpose of facilitating the communication between Skype Software users."

Review: I like Skype because it is fast, and less expensive for small businesses to use. It is also reliable as far as calls between Europe and America but still needs to be improved for calls to Asia, especially South Asia. IT

Review: What does VOIP for SME's? Well, one thing it won't do for the SME's is IM capability simply cause no is one can be bothered. What counts is a lower telco bill, PSTN level reliablity and keeping the existing equipment. The pipe line changes; that's all folks.

Review: The voice quality of the Skype to Skype service has always been fantastic, but the quality of Skype out is shaky at best. I have had comments like "Are you calling me from a submarine?" to the person not being able to hear me at all. Hopefully things have improved business needs reliable quality.

Review: Now that Skype is heading into small business their paying traffic will increase, more $$ for GIPS and offer more support for the "pay per call" in lieu of lic idea you had. Tello is the other company I was telling you about that I am speaking with as their CEO came from Oracle.
