Review: While researching info regarding Whole Foods market's acquisition of Wild Oats stores and the types of products and brands that the 2 stores offer, I came across your aricle and was interested in the unique biz practices of Republic of Tea company. Because your piece seemed more like a PR story than a factual info piece I wanted to know more about Rubin's company. I called Republic's offices in California and Illinois and got an answering machine at both numbers which I found curious since in a Feb. '07 issue of Smart Business magazine Rubin tells business owners "to get rid of their answering machine." That must be some good tea he's drinking.

Review: Are you kidding? I can't believe this schtick sells. Mediocre tea, cheesy advertising, communist inspired corporate structure, whatever...

Review: Republic of tea is fine but in terms of socially concious teas one can do much better. My favorite tea company is the small underdog company, Zhena's Gypsy Tea. Zhena's teas are 100% Fair Trade and have taste tests hands down. (www.gypsytea.com) Who wants to buy coorporate tea from a company that was started by the owners of Bannana Republic? Not me.

Review: High time for tea in america indeed. So Republic of Tea creates a line of teas to celebrate one of rock's most famous heroin users. typical California comapny disconnect.

Review: Dear Sir or Madam, Thanks for browsing my e-mail. I got the information from the Internet that your esteemed company imports all kinds of teas. I would like to introduce our company. Our company is located in hunan province in China, and we have our own tea garden. We could supply good quality green tea, black tea, and so on and offer you the most competitive price. Hope to cooperate with your esteemed company. Best regard Kelvin
