Review: We have found that checking with condo rentals can save a lot, i.e. a very upscale 3 story townhouse in lake Tahoe in July for $159.00 a night.

Review: I couldn't agree more with the first poster in terms of staying in one spot for an exteneded period of time and still conducting business. I've done this twice for month long sojurns in CR and Nicaragua. Hail to the Cyber Cafe. I also found USD $20/night all inclusive with German style breakfast beach side in Playa Flamingo -- for Two! Including VAT/Lux Tax etc.

Review: I can't agree more with the idea of staying in one place for an extended period of time. One thing you didn't mention, however, was the possibility of maintaining your income from your travel destination so that instead of keeping your trip short for budget reasons, you could actually stay for months at a time. With technology as it is, this is a real possibility for nomad wannabes.

Review: $125 per night x 7 days $875 (no tax) $875 x 20 vacations = $17,500. Maybe you should consider vacation ownership. Some 3.9 million U.S. households have.

Review: To save some more money .Buy city bus and subway cards and museum cards to cover your stay. Travel by train or bus in Europe as cars and gas are very expensive.2nd Class Train travel is pretty good too.I try to stay in hotels near the train station as it saves on taxis especially in a strange city.Try the local food and drink. That is why you are on holiday ,if not stay home

Review: Thanks, Alex, some good ideas. My wife and I, both still working hard and in our fifties, try to get away four times a year. Once in the winter when my teacher spouse can get off, we head to all inclusive spots in the Caribbean--well worth it if you know the specifics & details of your destination and take advantage of the amenities and meals that are offered. We also frequently "freeload" and stay with friends in resort like areas. Of course we bring gifts, wine, and pick up dinner a couple of nights! Then we take a longer summer tour with reputable companies (Europe this summer) that are able to coordinate trips and maximize our time and dollars for the best available new destination experience. Thanks again for your valuable tips! Paul. Teaneck, N.J. USA.

Review: Excellent. How about telling me how to list my own venue on your site? I have an ecco friendly resort in Panama--room and board for $40 a day. Please tell me how to get this message out. Thank you.
