Review: Incredible way to look at the real world. What we least expect to occur happens; now we can see that it doesn't all revolve around the U.S.

Review: Great Article. About the above comment of $3 gas, written by a person who did not dare to mention his name: Your comment shows ignorance and flair of envy. UAE does not sell oil to the USA.

Review: I'm an architecture student at the University of Technology Sydney, and my uncle is an architect in Dubai at the moment. I follow the progress of the country's development closely, and I think it is great how architects from all around the world, particularly Australia, are being recruited. I am looking forward to starting my career in Dubai hopefully next year.

Review: Whatever people say. There are countries with more oil-money... but none has dared to start these massive unique developments. Only a ruling family with an enlightened modern vision can make this happen. The Maktoums have taken the risk and are becoming a role model for surrounding rulers who, at the moment, are trying to catch up. For me (a Western expat living in Dubai) not only the city's construction boom is an amazing experience more so is the resulting society. I love the mixed working and social environment, it shows east and west can live together with respect for each other and enjoy each others' differences.
