Review: I bought a 409 disasaembled in a box from a junkyard in Rhode Island in 1965. It had an aluminum intake manifold. one carter afb, 13:1 compression and a badly warped block.
Anyone know about this kind of 409???

Review: I'm restoring a 1965 Chev Impala SS that has no front bucket seats. Before I buy used seats, does anyone know if the original factory bucket seat backs tipped straight forward or did they tip forward and inward? Thanks.

Review: Great article! If you need additonal information (technical and etc.) for the "W" Engines 348-409-427 and the cars that they were installed in,,,go to www.348-409.com. Also a well maintained site.

Review: I'm looking at a 61 cvt. ss that needs complete restoration. Can anyone help how to determine if it's a real ss before I buy it? It has a 348 w/3-2's, and it does have the grab bar in it. It's sitting in a field, so it's pretty hard to tell anything. Any ideas. Thanks.

Review: Anniversary gold was not a color made in late 1962 but made at the beginning of the model year. I was an orginal owner of vin 21847T120568 which I sold in 1980.
