Review: Windows Vista is gonna be out by the end of 2006.I think we should wait at least for a year after its release. New operating systems, software as well as hardware will have some bugs, so its better to use Vista by the end of 2007. And moreover, everyone will have to upgrade their RAM as well as graphics card. Windows Vista will be capable with every PC having 800mhz processor and 512MB RAM. So don't wait out for Windows Vista and get a centrino duo :)

Review: I'm Steve Wildstrom. Since writing my answer on the readiness of the Centrino Duo, I have learned that there is a considerably more serious problem. Soon after Centrino Duo notebooks became available, testers discovered that under certain circumstances, battery life was significantly shorter than it should have been. Some investigation, especially by Tom?s Hardware Guide, found that the problem occurred whenever a device was connected to the system using USB 2.0. Deeper sleuthing found that the problem lay in an interaction between Intel?s 945-series support chips used with the Centrino Duo and the power management software in Microsoft Windows XP.
Fixing this is probably going to require a software patch from Microsoft, but there?s no indication of when that might be available. You can read about the problem in depth here. I?m indebted to Wolfgang Gruener, managing editor of TGDaily.com, for bringing the details of the problem to my attention.

Actually, he wonders nothing of the sort based upon the originally quoted message indicating inappropriate graphics resources which implies reference to the GPU and not the CPU.

Review: Who cares if it runs Vista? By the time Vista *really* comes out it's about time for your next computer. And even then, why use Vista if the same functionality can be obtained by using a recent Linux release from SuSE or RedHat? Available this very minute, no need to wait. And on your current hardware: step out of the WinTel treadmill of bloated power-hungry software! (My config: second-hand Athlon-1333, SuSE 9.3 Linux, brand-new 23.1" TFT).

Review: In my opinion, you should wait a year before adapting to a new Windos OS in any event. Bugs, glitches, and a lack of any reason to upgrade are the hallmarks of any new Windows OS. Who knows, Vista may be something you want to skip out on entirely (anyone remember Windows ME?).

Review: This new technology is supposed to be very advanced. I think that people shoudl wait to see what AMD comes out with. They do have the Turion chip but that is new and in my opinion yet to be proven.

Review: Vista will make older computers (Last Year 2004-05) useless. Most of them will have to upgrade their RAM, buy new graphics cards, update their AntiVirus and many other softwares. That is a sad news for all existing windows users especially Windows XP users. The Life Cycle of Windows XP will come to end. Vista will not be given as upgrade to XP users for sure. Most of the bugs are in Software than in Hardware. Before Microsoft tells that.. better know your money's worth.
