Review: There is a single move that Nortel could have made to springboard themselves back into the critical game in which they once had the leadership position but mistakenly chose to vacate. That one move is to partner with Huawei. This is a good sign that clear vision and strategic decision making once again reign at Nortel!

Review: Excellent business move. Because it was started before Mike Zafirovski, it shows Bill Owens had more going on than people gave him credit for. Back to business, though. It has long been thought in technical circles that Huawei would take over the world because of their low cost base and production of excellent products, so Nortel must have eaten a pride pill to adopt such a great strategy. This secures Nortel for years to come, and thus the thousands of companies with their products also in North America and beyond.

Review: Huawei's proven penetration in developing countries as Pakistan, where Karachi streets are dug out by Huawei subcontractors for laying optic fiber to every building, office block. Triple play is about to be launched with IPTV, broadband, telephony. If Huawei is truly launching IPTV in Pakistan this month, this will show the world the quality of IPTV. Several technical issues, such as accessibility of channel hopping, are not yet possible. And the product is plagued with several first-time trial issues. Hope Pakistan's success will prove Huawei's strength in the international market to the world.

Review: Where can I buy Huawei's stock? I am in the telecom business and I can tell you from my experience that Huawei's gear is better and cheaper than Cisco's.
