Review: This bike is a very attractive looking joke. Eric Buell is nothing more than a corpo-sellout. I bought a 2003 XB9R and it was the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a new motorcycle. In short, it is slow, can't be tuned, fries your butt, and it fairly difficult to slow-ride. It is so twitchy at 100mph, you don't want to go up there. I wish I would have flogged the test ride bike so I would know just what a turd it was going to be. The engine design of all Harleys is fundamentally flawed, appealing to idiots who base everything on image and an exhaust note instead of power, versatility, tunability, etc. I would not only avoid this racebike, I would avoid anything from Buell, period.

Review: Air cooled? And Eric Buell is a thermal dynamics genius? Even the best twins are dying out in racing, aside from the Italians. This is the same old, "it's a cool bike cause it's loud and my sister loves when I give her rides to our special spot" nonsense! This guy has the ability to build a liquid cooled bike, at least, or even a bike that is near the same cc's as the competitors and make it competitive! He is smart, but what's the point if you waste your time putting these oddities out there for the sake of being odd. Buell isn't different. It's just odd! I love it when people are so brilliant they have completely missed the entire point of something! My kid is 8 years old and he's like daddy--that bike is a lotta new stuff on an old bike and it won't win, will it? Yeah, sure it will son. Just watch. I'm gonna take an old wasboard and make it out of titanium and mom will use it instead of the washing machine. I'm sure!

Review: Nevermind that this bike does not fall within the guidelines of the Formula eXtreem racing class that it was made for. It needs to be a production street bike. Fifty street illegal bikes does not a legal competitor make. It's a shame that HD/Buell has to use nearly 1400ccs to keep up with 600cc inline 4's. When will this company wake up and get out of the stone age? Should have used the Porshce designed engine.

Review: As a Buell owner I am glad to see them building a bad ass.

Review: I would love to see Buell and Harley Davidson start making bikes that are on the same level as the Honda CBRs, Jxsters and the like with the braking and handling capability of their competitors. It would be awesome to have a street bike with 175 or 200 mph stock and also be very light weight.

Review: Best of luck to Buell and its new bike in the Daytona 200 Formula Xtreme race in March. The big 4 Japanese motorcycle companies - Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha will be very fierce competition. Jim
