Review: "This is not just profit taking, but major uncertainty regarding a laggard like Disney and what role it may play in finacially depleting Apple and draining away the valuable time that Jobs has devoted to Apple's success." - what a load of rubbish. This fall in AAPL has nothing to do with Disney - it has to do with Apple lowering guidance for Q1, and then made-up threats about Microsoft releasing an "ipod killer" (yawn) or Google launching an iTunes killer (Seen Google Video? yawn). And the short sellers just wreaked havoc with the stock pushing it down to make quick profits. The Disney deal will boost AAPL, not threaten it. I'm amazed you can't see that. Back on subject, that was a fantastic article, very insightful, broad in reach, and depth. I'm impressed.

Review: This is a great article and one I had been searching the Internet for. As a long- term shareholder of Apple, I saw a need to re-evaluate Apple and Jobs before their Jan. 18 earnings report came out. Everything was perfect for shareholders (purchased in 1997 as Jobs came on board) and I did not need any more news about Apple, good or bad. Now, however, Apple shareholders' worst fears are being realized. In a word, "Who needs Disney"? I dumped half of my Apple shares, and it appears that others are doing so. Apple shares are now trading at $72 and falling. This is not just profit taking, but major uncertainty regarding a laggard like Disney and what role it may play in finacially depleting Apple and draining away the valuable time that Jobs has devoted to Apple's success.
